1. Personal industry knowledge and experience:
The export consultant has previously worked in your specific industry. They have business experience either in a vertical structure (supplier–customer) or a horizontal structure (e.g. through international direct or indirect competitors). Our approach by using an industry-specific consultant considered a "dealbreaker requirement for the successful continuation of any project.
2. Ownership of local market knowledge at distribution and customer level:
Ideally, the consultant has already worked in your target market. This allows for a smooth introduction into the market and provides you with valuable insights on how to become successful after a “warm” personal introduction and also taking into account the local (cultural) way of doing business.
